This hike took a route along the north-western coast of the the parish of St. Lucy. Starting at Archers Bay through Crab Hill and travelled sometimes along narrow track on the cliff edge almost to the cement plant at Checker Hall. Passing through the abandoned temporary prison at Harrisons point and right next to the lighthouse. Several Calabash trees were growing in the Crab Hill area. The calabash tree produces large spherical fruits, up to 50 cm (20 inches) in diameter, the hard shells of which are useful as bowls, cups, and other water containers when hollowed out.
