The treat of rain could not deter this hiker. Starting at Pool Plantation in St. John and traveling along the muddy tracks and tall grass at the side of the cane fields until we reached the cliff top. A light shower along the way was actually refreshing, as it cooled us down from the heat. From the cliff top it was down the rock path, which was covered in green algae (that loves the damp conditions). Pass natural vegetation that has probably been growing there for hundreds of year, Macaw palms several feet tall, bearded trees with lot of vines. Then along the Martins Bay ridge, this time not going down to to coast (due to unforeseen circumstances) then a long uphill pull up to Gall Hill, and returning to the starting point. Another really good hike with excellent views of the island Barbados; covering a distance of 7 miles
Total Distance for year: 142.5 miles
